Karen V. Vale has over 30 years of experience in healthcare with proven success in the areas of operational and financial management. With a comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle Management, her scope of expertise extends from Physician Practice Management Systems to Third Party Payer Reimbursement, and includes the successful orchestration and advanced leadership of a full-service physician practice management solution firm.

As an entrepreneur and reputable leader, Karen has been instrumental in elevating organizational performance and obtaining optimum financial results for large physician groups, home health agencies, independent laboratories and outpatient infusion therapy across the United States through advanced leadership, skillful restructuring and effective management of internal and external relationships.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Mary Brown brings an extensive background in the healthcare industry advisory and compliance assurance services with physician specialty groups, laboratories, hospitals and radiology facilities. Prior to joining Practice Works MD in 2014, she worked with one of Sarasota’s top CPA firms as a Senior Medical Consultant. She also spent 12 years with a Sarasota-based medical billing company as the Director of Client Services, where she served both large and small physician groups.

In her role with Practice Works MD, Mary provides clients with knowledgeable support services in a variety of practice areas, including revenue cycle management, credentialing with insurance carriers, financial reporting, operations, procedure design and implementation, and compliance with third party regulatory requirements.

With over 18 years of experience managing the internal processes of both group and solo physician practices, Dawn R. Byrd has worked closely with multiple teams to improve day-to-day operations and maximize efficiency. Through her time-tested background in medical office operations, combined with years of back-office experience, Dawn has developed a unique, multi-faceted, no-nonsense approach to assessing procedures and identifying solutions. As a professional consultant, she is dedicated to achieving practice success and welcomes the opportunity to engage her talents in identifying areas for improvement.
